Snorkelling

Our wish is to enable the greater public to experience real shark encounters, even if you're not a scuba diver. As we are now in a position to lead different kinds of sharks to our baiting station, we can actually put snorkellers on the surface above the bait to see the sharks close up. Contrary to popular beliefs, the sharks are not the senseless killing machines often imagined by people. Instead, sharks turn out to be extremely careful when hunting. It is critical for the shark not to get injured as this could mean death from starvation for the animal. Thus the shark has a very precise assessment program for whatever it thinks might be edible. This in turn means that the shark will not charge up to a snorkelling crowd on the water's surface and start biting people. Therefore it's possible for snorkellers to drift on the surface and watch the sharks below.

However, we don't want to leave anything up to chance and moreover we don't want you or anyone else to worry. In order to make this unique experience a pleasure we will construct a snorkelling cage which will be large enough to accommodate 2-3 snorkellers at a time. The bait bucket will be connected to the cage so the snorkellers will at all times be able to see the bait as well as the sharks and their behaviour.
